The aim is to give course attendees a safe and secure way to ensure there safety and that of the members of there team
while in the course of there duties. While also keeping the amount of physical force required to subdue, control or repel
an attacker to a minimum. With the view to reduce possible litigation situations for both the officer and company involved.
This is the striped down practical approach the subject, without the need to learn over complicated, unrealistic techniques
that do not apply to the real world.
The term S.H.O.C.K. has the following meaning in relation to this course…
S - Security: The program is aimed at security staff and law enforcement personnel etc. while it can also be directed
to civilians for Self Defence.
H - Hazard: The hazard of being in a dangerous situation, job or environment.
O - Observation: Being aware of the situation and environment you are in, also watching the "triggers" given off by
an aggressor and tell-tale signs of intent of attack. Watching your friends or work mates back, and giving helpful support
to their offensive instead of hindering it. Working in effective teams to take control of situations.
C - Control: Taking control of aggressors or of the situation and your surroundings. while making the right choices
with a well thought out plan of action.
K - Knowledge: Having all the above knowledge along with your own experiences of on the job situations as your SHOCK
factor.
